The Finance Section of the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators (GLA ALA) serves as an educational and networking group for GLA ALA members interested in financial topics. The Finance Section is open to any member of the GLA ALA. Members of the section include Executive Directors, Office Administrators, CFOs , Controllers, Accounting Managers and a variety of individuals with other titles. Other than Chapter Membership, there are no prerequisites to join the group.
How to join
There is no fee to join the Finance Section, nor forms to complete. Simply update your Section selection to include the Finance Section in your membership profile. The Chairperson of the Finance Section receives updates from Membership regarding members interested in the Section.
The Chairperson of the Section coordinates periodic meetings of the Section which are announced in the GLA ALA newsletter Leadership Exchange, the GLA ALA website http://www.glaala.org/calendar.htm, as well as by e-mail from the Chairperson. These meetings are usually held around the lunch hour at the offices of a member Firm and usually involve a small fee ($10-$20) to cover the cost of the lunch provided. The format of the meetings vary and includes roundtable discussions, panel discussions and presentations involving vendors or other experts, presentations by Section members, and participation in teleseminars sponsored by ALA National.
